Contribution calculator worksheet

The contribution calculator is a tool that enables you to estimate your biweekly contribution amount, which is the amount that is deducted from each paycheck. Your contribution rate is determined by a percentage amount, dependent on the age you were when you entered SDCERA membership.

Click the employer-paid offset charts to see the portion of your required contribution that is paid for by your employer, based on your representation unit and years of service.

If your employer-paid offset is greater than your member contribution rate, your employer will contribute an amount equal to your member contribution rate.

This calculation is an estimate and does not account for the 50 other possible pay categories such as bilingual pay, uniform allowance, etc. that may need to be considered for your final contribution calculation.
