The eligible spouse or registered domestic partner or eligible children may
receive a basic death benefit, which includes a lump sum payment consisting of
the member’s accumulated contributions plus interest; and a lump sum payment
of one month’s salary; for each full year of service credit, to a maximum of six
months’ salary.
